Search:
Involves searching pending and registered trade marks before IP Australia. This search does not reveal company names, domain names or common law sources where the mark may be in use. |

Identical Mark Search:
Preliminary search of IP Australia’s database aimed at determining the existence of an exact mark, whether the subject of a registration or pending application. This search strategy will establish if an identical mark is registered or applied for in specified classes of business interest. |

Owner / Proprietor Search:
This search focuses on the trade marks owned by certain individuals or a target company, which are filed or registered at IP Australia. Used for competitive intelligence purposes such as identifying the trade mark portfolio of a competitor. |

Logo Clearance Search:
This unique service is based on searching IP Australia’s database for registered or pending applications for logos or device marks in a single class. The objective is to find images that may conflict with those of interest to the potential user. |

Express* - In order to give sufficient time to allow the search to be conducted and reported to the instructor within the specified time frame, the search instructions must indicate the date of the required report. The instructions must be received in this office prior to 10.00am on the day of instruction and be acknowledged by the searcher. Instructions received subsequent to this time will be understood to require an additional 24 hours and will only be considered to have been received when acknowledged by the searcher.
